Dear Students and Families,
Welcome to fourth grade, Ms. Lipscomb’s class! I’m excited about the opportunity to get to know you, and I’m looking forward to a happy and productive school year. I am a proud mother of one 17 year old daughter, Taylor Marie and a three year old dog named "Ty"-Ler Eugene. We enjoy spending time together just being family. Taylor and I have worked hard to prepare a warm and inviting classroom environment that is filled with bright colors (I LOVE pink).
Please allow me to share a bit about myself. I am native of Charlotte which makes me very special. I graduated from Independence High School and then North Carolina Central University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Elementary Education. In 2002. I graduated from UNCC with a M.Ed in Curriculum and Supervision, May 2010, and I also graduated from Wingate University with a M.Ed in Educational Leadership. My career spans twenty-one years, all here in CMS. I have taught every grade level within an array of schools. My service to CMS includes K-2 Literacy Specialist, REA Grant writer and administrator as well as district Mentor, supervising 15 first and second year teachers.
Curriculum areas I will focus on this year include social studies, math and science. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns. Again, I am excited to share with you and your child this school year.
